PROYECTO DE NARRATIVAS DE DEFENSORES DE DERECHOS HUMANOS DE LOS MIGRANTES EN LA FRONTERA NORTE DE MÉXICO

MEXICAN BORDER HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS STORYTELLING PROJECT

We are actually working with a local artists team for the development of a self-representation project for the community of human rights defenders working in the region of Baja California to defend migrant people. They will express their voices and their stories through 4 axes.

The first one consists of digital narratives through which they can tell their lived stories of defense by creating short audiovisual about stories that are told from their own perspective and with their own words, supported by a production team.

The second ax is a collective mural to be made together with local plastic artists to express the work that keeps them busy.

The third ax is a book where stories on how they became human rights defenders of migrant people will be told.

In the fourth ax, they will also be able to participate in a documentary that shows the production of the other 3 axes and who are those human rights defenders that work in the community of the Mexican northern border in Baja California.

This is a project to value the work that from civil society is done every day, to celebrate the existence of our community and the reasons to do what their members do.
