Alma Migrante holds a workshop on Community Legal Empowerment for Access to Information and the Defense of the International Population against Police Abuse: Judgment 1597/2018.

TIJUANA.- On January 19, 20 and 21, the workshop on Judgment 1597 was successfully held: the protection of Tijuana, the right of access to information through video recording and security measures for monitoring.

This event took place in the auditorium facilities of the Faculty of Economics and International Relations of the Autonomous University of Baja California, Tijuana campus.

The person in charge of teaching this workshop was Graciela Zamudio Campos, LLM and director of the organization Alma Migrante A.C.

During three consecutive days, the participants were able to access relevant information and, in turn, carried out practical exercises in which they implemented the knowledge learned during the workshop.

It should be noted that this is the third time that Alma Migrante has given this workshop with a good reception from the participants, including human rights defenders from the migrant community, lawyers and students interested in the subject.
